Dr. Kate Adamala is a biochemist building synthetic cells to study the origin of life and advance biotechnology. Her lab develops synthetic cell technologies for metabolic engineering, drug discovery, and biosensing, and she coordinates the international Build-a-Cell community.
Dr. Drew Endy studies synthetic biology at Stanford University where he is the Martin Family University Faculty Fellow in Undergraduate Education and director of the Hoover Institution’s Bio-Strategies & Leadership initiative. He helped launch undergraduate majors in bioengineering at both MIT and Stanford along with the iGEM competition.
Dr. Chris Raggio is a technologist, investor, and former physician whose career spans multiple cutting-edge fields. He leverages his combination of medical expertise and technological acumen to pioneer investments in synthetic biology, a field he believes represents the next frontier of innovation.
Jan Jedryszek is a co-founder of Biotic and a physics PhD student at TU Munich. He studied at the Max Planck School Matter to Life and earlier worked at the European Space Agency. He is an OSV Fellow and a Renaissance Philanthropy BiTS x SPRIND Fellow.
